Scope

The journals will be reviewed in 3 stages. During the first phase of the project completed in 2014-2015, the period of 1960-1980 was under the spotlight. The reason for the election of this period is that it has both a structure reflecting its previous periods and a very serious effect on its subsequent period. Thus, it is thought that it is easier to reveal the main themes of Islamism over this interim period in which Islamist publications have made a serious breakthrough.
In the second phase of the project in 2016, 58 journals from 1960 were examined. In the third phase to be realized in 2017-2018, it is planned to digitize, catalog and examine nearly 500 magazines published after 1980.
Target Audience

Islamist Journals Project cater primarily to cut through all the stages to be approached in an objective perspective and knowledge of the history-minded Turkey. In this respect, Turkish academics and intellectuals are the first-level counterparts of this work.
However, the Islamic societies and thinkers who are contemplating the recently revived Islamism debate will have the opportunity to reap the framework and acquisitions that this project will create. It will be possible to examine the mind mapping of the recent past of the Islamist Thought in this regard to examine the nature of the changes and transformations that have taken place today. Thus, a historical inquiry can be made from a very rich perspective such as certain breakpoints, trends, developed rhetoric, and the level of interaction with other components of society.

The keywords and text type assigned to each article have given the catalog a more detailed character.
